Scandinavian Julglogg

6 cups grape juice
4 oz. grapes or raisins
2 oz. honey
2 tsp. cardamom (or 2 tbsp. cardamom seeds)
4 cloves (or I used 1 tsp. ground cloves)
1 cinnamon stick
Grated rind of 1 whole lemon and 1 whole lime (I didn't have a lime so I just did the lemon)

Combine all ingredients except the grated rind(s) and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add in the rind(s). Reheat gently.

This is a nice alternative to mulled cider, although we love that too! I read that it was often made in Scandinavian countries to celebrate St. Lucy's Day, which was December 13th.

If anyone has a Russian Tea recipe that doesn't use Tang or Kool-Aid or anything like that, I wonder if you could you post it? I'm looking for one too, and if I find it, I'll post it.
