Iced Coffee

When we were at the beach, we stopped at a coffee shop called Latte Litchfield. It was too hot for regular coffee, so we had iced coffee. They said they just brewed coffee and chilled it. When we mixed the sugar in, though, it didn't melt, so we we thought we'd do a sugar syrup instead. It's also good with a flavored syrup (like Torani Hazelnut).

So, all you do is just to brew coffee, regular strength. (Another recipe said to brew it double strength and then pour it over ice cubes, but we just brew it regular strength and put it in the refrigerator for later.)

Then pour in sugar syrup or Torani syrup to taste, then add half and half to taste (or however you like your regular coffee.)

The only problem with this recipe is that I could drink way more coffee than I should!

Sugar syrup recipe:

2 cups water
2 cups suar

Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Store in refrigerator.

You can use this also for iced tea, lemonade, etc.
