This is a great homemade alternative to sloppy joe mixes like Manwich -- it is my grandmother Genevieve Dennis' recipe -- she called them Whimpies --

Sloppy Joes/Whimpies
Mix --
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. regular mustard
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
You can also add peppers and onions.
Add to 1 pound of ground beef that has been browned and drained of any grease and simmer for a few minutes.
