Lentil Walnut Burgers

I slightly adapted this recipe by adding some bbq sauce, but the original was found as a cooking video on YouTube. My husband taste tested them and he said they were good. I think the kids will like them, they really have the same consistency of real burgers! I also added some plain breadcrumbs and oatbran, because I didn't have enough wheat germ and I added too much milk. So, I think this is really one you can play around with. Have fun and enjoy!

Ingredients:
2 cans lentils, drained and pureed (about 4 1/2 cups)
1 c toasted walnuts, chopped fine
2 eggs, beaten
1 t oregano
2 t cumin
2 t classic yellow mustard
5-12 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, diced fine
1 - 1.5 c wheat germ
1/4 - 1/2 cup milk
2 T olive oil
1/4 c hickory bbq sauce
salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Mix all ingredients well in a large bowl.
Form into patties.
Cook in a pan on medium heat with oil for 3-4 min on each side.
Cool completely, freeze in ziploc baggies.
